What is this? It is a galleon coming from far, far away directly to my heart.
Trying to do something a bit different on 3D. The idea of this drawing came to my mind when I knew about the “Buque de Galeón” exhibition in my country but there were certain specifications of size and technique so it was not possible to enter this work.
Pencil on opalina. I used that ruler and cutter to cut the paper because it remained too much white space. Some time ago, before I was capable myself of making this kind of drawings, I used to wonder why 3D artist put pencil and things over they drawings. Now I know the answer, first, it is to make greater the 3D effect. A drawing of this kind without real things around it can give us the idea that it is false. Second, because the paper bends up with the pressure of the pencil. Some might use certain things such as glue or something but this does not work to me. I wonder what kind of paper they use.
